Celtic seem to finding their groove in the Scottish Premiership now that they are starting to get some of their big players back from injury.

Cameron Carter-Vickers has brought steeliness back to the Celtic defence whilst Reo Hatate put in a great performance against Livingston as he seemed to single-handedly spark the creativity that has been so badly missed since his injury.

Kyogo Furuhashi has also looked back to his best and in Adam Idah, he has an able backup who offers something different to the Celtic attack.

But it was none of those players who were on Chris Sutton‘s mind. The former Celtic hero was reviewing the danger that Celtic posed to Livingston when he said that he’s not getting ‘carried away’ by new Bhoy Niclos Kuhn.

Sutton says Kuhn will be ‘judged’ at Ibrox

Whilst Kuhn has chipped in with two goals and two assists in nine appearances for Celtic since his January arrival, Sutton has told the winger that whilst he is doing well, it will ultimately be next Sunday where he will be judged on his ability.

The Glasgow Derby against Rangers will be pivotal in the title race and Sutton believes that where Kuhn needs to prove his worth to Brendan Rodgers.

Sutton said [Sky Sports], “I think it’s a difficult one for him. He talked about his struggle at the start. He’s come into a team where it hasn’t quite clicked this season.

“A team which hadn’t performed consistently well. He had early opportunities and then Yang was given the nod in front of him.

“I’m not getting carried away because he’s played well against Livingston and played well against St Johnstone.

“There are going to be bigger tests, of course, the one next week where he will be judged on.

“But it’s a situation where you come to Glasgow, you’ve signed for Celtic and Rangers and you don’t really get time to bed in.

“But it seems to be, just listening to him that his confidence has grown a bit. He popped one in against St Johnstone last week.

“I think the important thing is that he doesn’t become predictable. Remember, we covered the Motherwell game he is always coming in and likes to get on that left foot, we understand that but I think he has to make defenders think and drive the outside.”

The 24-year-old German winger was suffering from a health issue that hampered the start of his Celtic career,

But now that seems to be over, Kuhn has put in a couple of impressive performances for Celtic in the wins over Livingston and St Johnstone.

With Luis Palma out injured, Kuhn seems to be providing the creativity on the wings but Sutton is correct, he will need to produce next week at Ibrox because nothing less than three points will do as this title race draws to a close.
