Celtic’s defeat to Rangers was a new low for Wilfried Nancy, and the Hoops’ season as a whole.
Things got ugly quick at Celtic Park, despite a positive first half in which the Hoops should’ve been further ahead.
In the second, the game turned on its head to such an extent that empty seats were emerging by the 70 minutes after three quick-fire goals from the visitors.
It’s an all-too-familiar sequence of events in what has been a staggering month under Nancy where things have constantly gone from bad to worse.
Chris Sutton was working on the live broadcast of the game, and made his thoughts clear after the final whistle.

Yang Hyun-Jun was the standout player in the first half, and this was reflected in his sublime opening goal.
But Youssef Chermiti and Mikey Moore’s pounced on some poor defensive moments and completely knocked the stuffing out of the Hoops.

It was staggering to see just how royally Celtic fell off after the break, but this was not the first time we have seen this under Nancy.
Sutton took to X after the game, and his message to the Celtic board was absolutely clear.
He said : “18 goals conceded in 8 games… one way Wilf will not change but it’s on whoever made the call to bring Wilf in if they knew he was going to be stubborn and not adapt.
“Bad decision after bad decision this season has plagued Celtic as a club. Time to move fast and be decisive…”
Pretty strong terms, but the numbers that Sutton raises don’t lie – they indicate a significant drop-off in form.
Celtic are next in action against Dundee United at home, a week from today. Nancy has already fallen to defeat against Jim Goodwin.
Questions around Nancy’s future are bound to persist before then.
