Most pundits and ex-players will agree that Celtic will be the favourites ahead of Rangers to lift the Scottish Premiership title.
The Celtic learned the new SPFL fixture list this morning as many fans looked to find the first game against Rangers.
As everyone knows by now, the Ibrox Glasgow Derby is on the 31st of August where Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers will be looking to put down an early season marker on Russell Martin.
However, the new fixture list led Kris Boyd to make a bold title claim that had Celtic hero Chris Sutton in stitches.

Celtic hero Chris Sutton’s superb Rangers prediction after Kris Boyd’s bold title claim
It would take a brave person to bet against Celtic lifting the Scottish Premiership title. The Bhoys have already made two summer additions and it looks like more will be on the way.
However, Boyd, in true fashion, delivered a title-prediction that Celtic and Rangers fans won’t even take seriously.
Boyd told Sky Sports, “Yeah, well, I think obviously, Celtic will start the season as heavy favourites. There’s no doubt about that. They’ve got all the top quality players in the league.
“But Rangers will win it.”
The Sky Sports News presenter was dumbfounded and said, “Rangers will win it. Chris Sutton, he’s laughing. Go on. Respond.”
Sutton: “Based on what Kris?”
Boyd: “I’ll save that for a first show this season. It’s all going to change Glasgow. You know the drill.”
Sutton: “I can’t wait for that first show. I think Rangers will finish in the top half.”
Kris Boyd changes his Celtic tune as former Rangers man makes daft title statement
Boyd is forever getting his predictions about Rangers challenging Celtic wrong as he fails to take off his blue-tinted spectacles whenever he delivers his pundit predictions.
But no less than three short weeks ago, Boyd actually sounded impartial when he admitted Celtic were the title favourites despite the 49ers’ takeover of Rangers.
Boyd said, “I’m excited for the new season because the top five will all be beaming. Gers have new investment, so too do Hearts after Tony Bloom’s £10m cash injection.
“Aberdeen will feel great after the Cup final win, and likewise Hibs, after their third place finish.
“And, of course, Celts will rightly start as favourites after landing another title and the Premier Sports Cup.
“Some of their fans refused to believe this American dream would ever come true for Rangers. They claimed Cavenagh was going from the Land of the Free to the land of the free transfers. But this fistful of dollars has made it all feel very real.”
Except for Rangers, they are yet to spend a single penny despite adding one new player to their squad to challenge Celtic. Funny that.
