Celtic hero Chris Sutton is famous for his trolling of Rangers.

The Sky Sports pundit is notorious for winding up the likes of Kris Boyd as Celtic’s relentless domination of Scottish football continues.

Brendan Rodgers watched his Celtic side batter Dundee United to pick up his fourth league title as the Hoops manager.

And as Rangers floundered at St Mirren drawing 2-2 in Paisley, the gap at the top of the Scottish Premiership table increased even further.

However, Sutton’s jab at Rangers happened before that result and what he said pretty much sums up how Celtic supporters are feeling this weekend.

Chris Sutton’s four word question about Rangers as Celtic wrap up another title

Sutton didn’t waste any time in taking to social media to take a pop at Rangers and celebrate Celtic’s title win.

Almost immediately after the full-time whistle blew at Tannadice, the former Celtic striker aimed a brutal tweel to the Parkhead club’s rivals.

Sutton simply asked on X, “Are they still coming?”

The tweet resonates with Celtic fans as for the last 13 out of 14 seasons all they have heard is how the Ibrox club are coming for them.

Well, another season down and another potential treble in the bag, Celtic fans are still waiting.

Chris Sutton hail’s Celtic’s mentality monsters with elbow at critics

As Celtic fans prepared for the title weekend, there has been a strange narrative brewing about the Hoops’ success with some suggesting that winning trophies in Scotland is too easy.

Talking about Celtic’s title success on Sky Sports, Sutton wasn’t having any of it as he said winning silverware at Parkhead is anything but easy.

Sutton said, “Celtic have made winning the league look easy, and it’s anything but.

“When I came up [to Celtic Park] in 2000, [that season] was the third time Celtic had won a treble. They’re winning them every other season now.

“It’s phenomenal, the mentality of this team. I think [Celtic’s achievements are] so underestimated. It’s hard winning games of football.”

If winning trophies in Scotland was so simple then every club could manage it without too much effort. But as Rangers have proven in the past, if you don’t have the bottle to win games against teams outwith Celtic, then the chances of winning silverware are next to none.

Celtic should be celebrated, not criticised, for their incredible success and come the end of May, fans will be hoping that that exactly what will happen with another Scottish Cup win against Aberdeen.
