There was some concern amongst Celtic supporters on Wednesday night when Christopher Jullien was not only absent from the first team but the entire matchday squad.
Jullien has been training consistently as part of Ange Postecoglou’s squad since the winter break and has regularly featured on the bench.
However, some worried he had picked up another injury when there was no sign of him in the squad on Wednesday night.

Thankfully that doesn’t appear to be the case. Celtic posted photos from today’s training session at a snowy Lennoxtown, with a very cold Jullien prominently featured.
That’s good news and suggests there is no significant setback for the French defender. Indeed, time ticks towards him eventually getting an opportunity in a Celtic shirt soon.
Postecoglou has a solid centre-half pairing in Cameron Carter-Vickers and Carl Starfelt, so there is certainly no rush.
However, we know Jullien is a quality player and can really add something to this team when Postecoglou picks the perfect moment for his return.
Whether that’s against Motherwell, Aberdeen or Raith Rovers over the next ten days remains to be seen. With the five-sub rule in place, there is also the chance of Postecoglou integrating him gradually.
Right now, that cup match against the Fife side looks like the most likely day for Jullien’s emotional return to the starting eleven.
