There aren’t many characters like Ange Postecoglou in the game.
Whilst Postecoglou arrived at Celtic in 2021 as an unknown figure, it wasn’t too long before he was the crowd favourite, even ahead of his players, because of how he conducted himself and his style of play.
It’s fair to say that the feeling towards Postecoglou has been mixed during his time as the Tottenham Hotspur manager, but he now has a trophy to show for it.
Spurs won the Europa League last month in Bilbao by beating Manchester United, despite it having been a tough and challenging campaign for the Greek-born Australian in the Premier League.
Despite being outside of the Celtic walls for a few years now, it’s fair to say that the club’s former Treble winner hasn’t forgotten about those in Glasgow.

What Ange Postecoglou ‘always’ does in his Tottenham office that Celtic fans will love
One name who will be familiar to the Celtic Park faithful is former Hibernian boss Nick Montgomery, who is now part of Postecoglou’s coaching staff at Hotspur Way.
Montgomery shared that Brendan Rodgers’ predecessor is ‘really happy’ for the club’s success this season, and he ‘cherishes’ his time at Celtic.
The former Hibs man also added that, inside the Spurs offices, Postecoglou is ‘always’ watching Celtic matches, as he told the Daily Record.
“Yeah (on if Ange talks about Celtic), Ange loved his time at Celtic,” said Montgomery.
“I think he cherishes them times. Celtic is a massive club. But it is used to winning, and when you go in there, the pressure on you is that you continue that trend, and you have to win.
“Ange did that. People doubted him. He is always watching. He is always watching Celtic games. A-League games, and the Japanese games, so we always have them on in the coach’s office. He really enjoyed his time there.
“No doubt that he is really happy for the success again this year.”
