Columbus Crew fans have reacted to the news that Wilfried Nancy is set to join Celtic with a sense of grief.
The Frenchman is clearly well thought of by the MLS club’s fans and as Nancy’s Celtic move nears, the Columbus fans get more and more anxious.
Nancy won the MLS Cup with Columbus in 2023 to deliver only their second piece of silverware in 13 years.
Now apparently on his way to Celtic, the Columbus Crew fans, or #Crew96, have let Nancy know exactly how they feel about his impending departure.

Columbus Crew fans are gutted at Wilfried Nancy to Celtic update
The Columbus Crew fans are absolutely gutted at the news that Nancy is set to join Celtic, and took to social media to express their fear.
@CoachCigsCig is deeply unhappy and posted, “Brother, you better have a plan allowing Nancy to talk with Celtic. We were not prepared to see Cucho walk. This will make or break this FO’s jobs. #Crew96.”
@Jiresell is not happy with Celtic fan reaction to Nancy and would gladly keep the Frenchman, “Judging by the overwhelming negative reactions to this report there is a whole lot of euro snobbery going on.
“If the Celtic fans don’t want Nancy, great! #Crew96 fans will be happy to keep him.”
@LuvBobby6956 says Nancy coming to Celtic will hit the MLS hard and said, “It would be bad for the League, but Nancy leaves quite a legacy and really upped the standards in MLS.”
And finally:
Unfortunately for James, it looks like that is not happening.
Wilfried Nancy could be a good capture for Celtic
It seems like Nancy is well respected by the MLS club’s fans for all he’s done at the club. Nancy joined them in December 2022 and has appeared to have revolutionised how they play football.
Nancy adopts a fast, attacking style of play which is a far cry from what Celtic fans had been watching as Rodgers’ time at the club wound down.
Now that it appears that Nancy is on his way to Glasgow, have Celtic pulled a rabbit out of the hat with the Frenchman?
