Following the announcement of his arrival, Nancy’s former club posted a classy farewell video of his best moments with the side he brought so much success to.
The video, posted on Columbus Crew’s X account, featured some of their trophy successes, as well as the many goals scored.
They captioned the compilation, saying: “Authored an important chapter in our Club’s history. A coach that added to our trophy case and impacted Columbus.”

Before the video, the club’s owners also released a statement on their official website, adding: “Wilfried helped our Club accomplish so much over the past three seasons, and we’ll forever be grateful for his passion and efforts to advance the Crew and Major League Soccer.
“He led us to our third MLS Cup, first Leagues Cup championship and a Concacaf Champions Cup Final, and most importantly, his leadership further established a culture and commitment to success that will continue to positively impact our Club for years to come.
“While we strived to keep Wilfried in Columbus, he was clear that coaching Celtic is an important next step in his professional and personal journey, which we know firsthand will be ‘limitless’.”

After that, it is then a huge double game week as Celtic face Roma in the Europa League before competing for the first domestic trophy of the season in the Premier Sports Cup final against St Mirren.
