Neil Lennon has hit a new low he’s managed to leave the Celtic fans feeling absolutely empty with emotion.
Tonight’s 1-0 loss to Ross County in Dingwall was the final straw for so many of us. Then again, you could be forgiven for your own last chance saloon coming a fair while back.
There were so many aspects of this game that were just insulting from a supporter’s perspective however. The seemingly random dropping of Ismaila Soro for Scott Brown. The decision to revert back to one up top when it was clear County were going to sit with two deep blocks. And, perhaps worst of all, the goal conceded from a late header from Jordan White – an effort that showed we haven’t learned a thing all seaso.
We were made to believe everything was getting better at Parkhead. That the five-game winning run was supposed to symbolise hope. Of course, we all knew better as genuine supporters of the club. We could see tonight coming because we’ve seen the warning signs over the last couple of weeks. Another Celtic 1-2 St Mirren was always around the corner.
And now here we are as supporters. Many heading to their work tomorrow preparing themselves to be slaughtered by their rival-supporting colleagues. Ready to face the music after yet more embarrassment from the club that they love.
Celtic fans are now beyond the point of anger
Recent results like this have seen Celtic supporters call for Lennon’s sacking. They’ve been at their wits end before and demanded his resignation. So many now are wondering what the point is in doing so these days.
It feels as if no matter how loud we shout, the board mystifyingly continues to antagonise us by simply covering their ears.

Tonight, however, Neil Lennon suffered his second defeat of the campaign to Ross County. Two in one season. They’ve now turned us over at both Celtic Park and the Global Energy Stadium. Considering that feels like the least of our worries now tells a story.
We’re now at the stage, and have been for a while, where some of our worst managers in history have been sacked for less. Tony Mowbray was sacked when 10 points behind Rangers in March 2010 [BBC]. Lennon would be living on cloud nine if that was his situation.
The sheer scale of this season’s decline has been infuriating, upsetting, but simply downright disappointing. Lennon has managed to drain the Celtic fans of all energy they had heading into a potentially historic season. And here, we take a look at the reaction of the fans to tonight’s latest shambles:
