Neil Lennon has named his Celtic team for today’s Scottish Premiership clash against Dundee United.

The full match squad is as follows:

Starting XI: Barkas, Frimpong, Ajer, Jullien, Laxalt, Soro, McGregor, Christie, Turnbull, Griffiths, Edouard

Substitutes: Hazard, Taylor, Duffy, Bitton, Brown, Ajeti, Rogic, Elyounoussi, Johnston

Every game is a big one for Celtic at the moment. This one is no different. Only three points will be deemed as acceptable as we continue to sit 16 points behind Rangers with three games in hand.

This match is also another massive one in terms of momentum. With Ibrox slowly creeping up on us this Saturday, a victory would see us go into it with six consecutive wins on the bounce.

But Celtic will need to be wary of a Dundee Utd side that will be extremely motivated. The Tannadice side will be desperate to do the late great Jim McLean proud this afternoon. The Hoops will have to match Utd’s hunger to avoid this being an overly tricky afternoon.

As expected, Lennon has named an extremely strong side for the visit of the Arabs, but has made one massive call. Conor Hazard has been dropped for Vasilis Barkas in a major shift just days before the derby.

For the third consecutive match, Celtic will start with both Odsonne Edouard and Leigh Griffiths – the duo that left the Hoops fans purring on Boxing Day.

Broadcast Details

Today’s game will be broadcast live on season ticket holders’ “Pass to Paradise” streaming service. A separate service to view the match live is available on Celtic TV for those based outside the UK and Ireland.

Celtic TV subscribers based inside the UK and Ireland will have to settle for live audio. The game unfortunately isn’t live on any alternative TV channel in the UK and Ireland.

Alternatively, you can follow live text coverage of the game via the official BBC website. You can follow that by clicking here.

Celtic fan reaction

Unsurprisingly, the Celtic fans are again excited with Lennon’s starting XI, with plenty highlighting the decision to bring Barkas back..

The Parkhead boss has made it a habit of selecting fan-pleasing line-ups in recent weeks. That certainly hasn’t changed today with another exciting XI chosen.

David Turnbull and Ismaila Soro again keep their own places in the side. This is something the Celtic supporters can definitely get behind given the new duo have made such a positive impact on things.

Once again, Celtic’s bench looks incredibly strong. The likes of Albian Ajeti, Mohamed Elyounoussi, and Tom Rogic are all available to call upon if necessary.
