The Daily Record reported this morning that Police Scotland wouldn’t have been keen on a late kick-off on Saturday evening when it came to the Glasgow Derby.
Celtic travel to Ibrox looking to continue an astonishing run of Scottish Cup successes in recent years. Should the Hoops come out of Govan with the victory, we’ll remain on course for an incredible fifth consecutive cup win.
New Celtic v Rangers time not a surprise
This won’t come as a surprise to anyone. The logical decision was always going to be to move the game back to a Sunday kickoff. If you were to have asked supporters beforehand, this is what many would’ve predicted.
It doesn’t change much in the grand scheme. If anything it gives Celtic an extra day of preparation heading into the game.
Yet it’s frustrating in a sense as having the game so late on a Saturday afternoon gave the contest some extra excitement. Even so, so long as we come out of Ibrox with the win, that’ll do regardless of the time!
Hopefully, John Kennedy and the Bhoys can do just that. We’re certainly due a big performance and result in this fixture.
