Callum McGregor and Nir Bitton will go head-to-head at Hampden this evening as Scotland take on Israel in a massive World Cup Qualifier.

Both have been named in the official starting line-ups, per UEFA.

It’s a crucial fixture for both teams, with three points badly need to boost their chances of making it to Qatar 2022. It has a cup final feel to it.

A victory for Scotland would almost guarantee second place in the group and a play-off spot at Israel’s expense, with Moldova, Faroe Islands and Denmark still to be played.

McGregor starts in a midfield that also includes English Premier League stars John McGinn and Billy Gilmour.

There are three former Celts in the Scottish starting eleven as Craig Gordon, Jack Hendry and Kieran Tierney all win another cap.

However, Bitton and his team will have ambitions of their own. The Celtic midfielder has faced Scotland on many occasions over the last couple of years and it’s always been tight.

They have stars like talismanic goalscorer Eran Zahavi to call upon and attacking talent such as Liel Abada ready to be unleashed off of the bench.

David Turnbull, meanwhile, is on the Scotland bench and will be hoping for minutes in the second half.

It should be a cracker and if you fancy watching it, all the action is on Sky Sports Premier League.
