Celtic stars from multiple eras have been reacting after Conor Hazard departed the club.
The Northern Irish goalkeeper has signed for Plymouth Argyle, for an undisclosed fee.
Hazard took to Instagram on Tuesday evening to share a post of him in the Home Park side’s colours, with an accompanying message reading: “Delighted to sign at this special club. Can’t wait to get going and meet all the Argyle fans.”
While we’re unlikely to receive a farewell video to rival Jota’s from the weekend, Hazard does still have a lot of admirers in the form of current and former Celtic players.
Given that he’s been at the club for so many years, some of the names may be a little bit of a blast from the past.
Josip Juranovic replied to the post saying “Good luck mate!” while his right-back replacement Alistair Johnston wrote “cheeeeeeeeers Conor”. Clearly some sort of in-joke there.

Joe Hart said “Good luck pal” while that message was echoed by fellow current players Ben Siegrist and Mikey Johnston. Stephen Welsh commented “Love to see it” while ex-Celt Scott Sinclair said “All the best geez”.
Niall McGinn, who knows Hazard from international duty, said “Yes lad” while fellow goalkeeper Dorus de Vries commented with some muscle emojis.
Included in the likes section of the post are a raft of names from different eras including David Turnbull, Moritz Bauer, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Mohamed Elyounoussi.

Hazard never really made himself an undroppable number one in his time at the club, and it’s nice that he has found a new permanent home.
We wish him all of the best, and will always have 21 December 2020.
