Celtic prospect Patryk Klimala played all 90 minutes of an U21 qualifying clash at home to Russia this evening, with midfielder David Turnbull also contributing to a win for his country.
Turnbull got an hour of action under his belt away to Lithuania as Scotland won 1-0 thanks to a goal from Allan Campbell.
The new Celtic signing operated as attacking midfielder in support of striker Fraser Hornby, highlighting his versatility through the middle.
The young Scots now have 11 points after six games in Group D of qualifying but currently lag behind Greece and Czech Republic.

Klimala meanwhile has had an excellent week with Poland, first scoring in a 6-0 win away to Estonia and now knocking off Russia to move onto 16 points after seven qualifying matches.
Much of the talk about the striker in recent weeks has been about his match fitness but there can be no doubt he is ready to play more now after getting plenty of action over the last few days.
Neil Lennon has an embarrassment of riches when it comes to team selection for this Saturday’s match away to Ross County and hopefully he can find the right winning blend on the trip to the Highlands.
Supporters will likely be desperate to see a two-striker formation unleashed with Albian Ajeti and Odsonne Edouard also getting international minutes over the last few days.

As for Turnbull, he’ll have plenty of work ahead of him to break the Scott Brown, Callum McGregor and Ryan Christie triangle.
However, he’s shown in the early stages of the season he has the ability to make a big impact at Scottish Premiership level.
I’m hoping to see his Celtic debut sooner rather than later.
In other news, Shane Duffy has given Bobo Balde a class shoutout in his first Celtic press conference.
