Celtic midfielder David Turnbull has shown off two pretty high-profile Real Madrid mementos on Instagram.
It may seem like a different season at this stage, but a few months ago Ange Postecoglou’s side were rubbing shoulders with the Champions League holders.
The meetings turned out to be pretty sobering with the La Liga side running out 8-1 winners over the two matches, despite a largely encouraging Hoops display at Celtic Park.

While the fixtures, and our overall Champions League campaign, were disappointing, Turnbull has at least managed to take home a couple of neat souvenirs.
On his Instagram story, he posted an image of Karim Benzema’s home shirt alongside Toni Kroos’s from the Glasgow clash.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side are filled with stars but nabbing the shirts of Germany legend Kroos and current Ballon d’Or winner Benzema is a pretty good feat.

Turnbull came on as a substitute in both games and will have very real ambitions of playing in the competition again next season.
It may same a fair while away now, but the reality is that Celtic could book their place in next season’s tournament in the coming months.
With a healthy nine point lead at the top of the Premiership, and knowing that winning the league will be enough to secure a spot in the final 32 team group stage, there’s plenty to be excited about.
More huge nights await at Celtic Park if we can stay stop until the end of May. We’re huge favourites to do so.
In other news, a report has suggested that Celtic are happy to be patient amid interest in Josip Juranovic
