Kilmarnock boss Derek McInnes says his side are travelling to Hampden to “have a go” this weekend against Celtic.
The Ayrshire side are huge underdogs as they travel to the National Stadium to take on Ange Postecoglou’s all-conquering Celts this Saturday.
Celtic earned a convincing 2-0 win over the Rugby Park side last weekend, with the woodwork preventing a much larger margin of victory.

Kilmarnock barely troubled Joe Hart’s goal throughout the match in a defensive performance which included plenty of time-wasting.

Yet, speaking to the media ahead of this weekend’s game, McInnes insisted his side would be going for the win.
“It would be a huge result for us, when you look at the context of it,” he said, as per the Daily Record.
“We have a lot of players who came up from the Championship, some boys who experienced the likes of Celtic Park for the first time and haven’t played at Hampden before.
“When you factor all of that in you can see why Celtic are favourites, but we’ve got bundles of spirit, togetherness and we’ve got good experience.
“We are going to Hampden to have a go. Everyone else will be watching it, and I’d rather be in amongst it having a chance than sitting watching someone else playing Celtic on the TV.
“I want my players to try and relish what’s there for them, you just never know, upsets have happened before.”

Given the nature of Killie’s defensive performance at Celtic Park, few Celtic fans would actually believe that they will actually have a proper go this weekend.
It is more likely to be another defensive display, with the Kilmarnock goalkeeper once again tasked with slowing the game down as much as possible.
Thankfully, this Celtic side are well versed in those sort of tactics from opposition teams and won’t panic at any stage.
From a neutral, and a Celtic, point of view, let’s hope they come out and play and make a proper game of it.
