It’s been reported by The Daily Record today that his arrival could come as early as Tuesday morning, with Celtic potentially releasing a statement to the stock exchange following the Easter weekend.
The last week has been a frantic one of speculation at the club. It’s clear Celtic are on the verge of announcing a number of huge changes.
We could have a whole new leadership team in place consisting of manager, director of football and CEO by this time next week.
That’s a set of very welcome developments that can immediately get the ball rolling on plans for next season, summer qualification and future trophy success.
Celtic don’t have much time to play with, especially when you consider the launch of a season ticket renewal campaign can’t be far away.
Arriving early, McKay showing commitment to the Celtic project and setting the tone of urgency that every supporter wants to see right now.
We don’t yet know how successfully the Bhoys will function under his leadership, but it’d be a good start to get in the door three months early and start immediate communication with the support.
