The allocations for Celtic’s Scottish Cup final against Dunfermline have been confirmed.
In what will potentially be Martin O’Neill’s final game as manager, he will face his old ally Neil Lennon in a showpiece season-closer at Hampden.
Dunfermline have defeated three Scottish Premiership sides on their way to the final, whilst Celtic have survived extra time in each of the last three rounds.
The Pars had previously vocalised their demand for a “maximum allocation” in the game, so have those demands been met?

It’s a solid allocation for the Pars on their first final in the competition since 2007. In all three of their cup finals since the turn of the century, they have lost to Celtic.
In the Hoops’ semi-final against St Mirren, the Paisley side were initially allocated 12,000, though 33,000 ended up going to Celtic.
O’Neil won the Scottish Cup three times in his famed first spell in Glasgow, including as part of a treble in 2001.
Lennon, on the other hand, secured four Scottish Cup titles playing for Celtic, subsequently matching that tally as manager. Unlike O’Neill, he boasts an unbeaten record in Scottish Cup finals.
After narrowly missing out on the league, he claimed the 2011 trophy by defeating Motherwell 3-0, then bested Hibs in the final during the club’s 125th anniversary year in 2013.
Peter Lawwell infamously offered him the permanent job in the shower area after Odsonne Edouard’s late winner sealed the Treble Treble in 2019.
The following season was curtailed due to the pandemic, delaying the final to December, when the Celts prevailed on penalties to beat a then-Championship side in Hearts.
Should Celtic make a decision on Martin O’Neill’s permanent future before the end of the season?
Neil Lennon on facing Martin O’Neill’s Celtic in the Scottish Cup final
Asked on Premier Sports whether he will still call O’Neill ‘gaffer’ at the final, Lennon said: “Of course, yeah, that will never change.
“Basically, it’s him managing against him. Because I’ve picked up everything — he’s the biggest influence on my career, the way I approach the game, the mindset, training, all the programmes that we do.
“It’s stuff that I learned from Martin. Obviously, he did it from Clough as well. So it’s a generational thing.
“But I admire him so much, he’s probably the guy I admire most in football. And to see him back at 73, managing Celtic, is incredible.”
