Emilio Izaguirre is still cutting about in Celtic gear all of these years on from his departure.

The left-back played notably from the club between 2010 and 2017, before enjoying a second spell in the 2018-2019 season.

Izaguirre pulled the Hoops back on again recently when playing for the Celtic Legends side that lost to Liverpool at Anfield.

But it seems like he doesn’t need a charity game to show off the Celtic badge – as was highlighted in a recent Instagram story post.

As you can see in the above image, Izaguirre was out a run in his native Honduras, sporting some recent training gear and a big grin on his face.

The caption ’10k’ suggests that he’s still pretty fit although it’s easy to imagine the zipper in question being a bit too warm for the job.

A headline that Emilio Izaguirre likes Celtic a lot would maybe be the least surprising in this website’s history.

However, it is amusing just to realise that there’s a former Celtic player sporting the club’s colours while out-and-about in Honduras.

Izaguirre retired from football the best part of a year ago. It would be great to see him back at Celtic Park at some stage in the future.

As the song goes, Celtic loves him more than he will know.
