With the international break now almost at an end, Celtic fans will be looking forward to the next domestic fixture against St Mirren.
Whilst the two-week international window gives players time to rest and recover, Celtic fans will have been on edge hoping that no more players return from representing their country with any further knocks.
Unfortunately, that didn’t happen as young Celtic defender Colby Donovan suffered a setback when playing in Scotland U21’s win against Gibraltar.
So with that in mind, 67 Hail Hail takes a look at how the Celtic squad could shape up as we take a look at the current injury status of the Parkhead first team.

Celtic injury update including Alistair Johnston’s current state of play
At the last count, Celtic had seven first team players out of action due to injury.
So here is the full list of players who could, or are going to, miss Celtic’s game against St Mirren:
| Player | Injury type | Potential return date (training) |
| Marcello Sarrachi | Hamstring | Late November |
| Callum Osmand | Hamstring | Late November |
| Kelechi Iheanacho | Hamstring | Not known |
| Alistair Johnston | Hamstring surgery | Not known |
| Cameron Carter-Vickers | Achilles | Early March 2026 |
| Jota | Cruciate ligament | Early January 2026 |
| Colby Donovan | Ankle | Not known |
Hopefully, the players with an unknown return date get back as soon as possible because Celtic’s fixture schedule is starting to pile up at this time of year.
Celtic’s crucial November fixture schedule
With St Mirren up next at the SMiSA Stadium, Celtic still have two important away fixtures left to complete in the final 13 days of November.
- Thursday 27th November: UEFA Europa League – Feyenoord vs Celtic
- Sunday 30th November: Premiership: Hibernian vs Celtic
A win is a must in both for Celtic to keep their Europa League qualification dream alive and to close the gap to Hearts at the top of the table.
