The 2023 edition of the Celtic Annual General Meeting (AGM) takes place on Wednesday and several important topics surrounding the club are sure to come up and be discussed by principal figures at the Bhoys.
Celtic have enjoyed significant trophy success since the last AGM, winning a superb treble of trophies under former manager Ange Postecoglou. The Australian has since departed for Tottenham Hotspur with Brendan Rodgers returning to the Bhoys and starting well in the Scottish Premiership.
Off the pitch, there have been significant events surrounding the treatment of fans. Fan group The Green Brigade are currently suspended while some supporters have raised safety concerns about away trips in stadia around Scotland.
Meanwhile, the club have posted record annual financial results for the year ended 30th June 2023, with a staggering £119.9m total revenue for the period, in large part due to significant backing from supporters in ticket and merchandising sales.
With Chief Executive Michael Nicholson, chairman Peter Lawwell and manager Rodgers all expected to be in attendance today amongst others, it’s a chance for the club to communicate directly with supporters and shareholders about all the big issues.
What time does the Celtic AGM start?
Doors open for shareholders to attend at Celtic Park at 10:30am and the meeting will begin at 11:30am. It is expected to last until 1:30pm. Attendees are to arrive via the Kerrydale/Sports Bar entrance, with tea and coffee available.
The Celtic AGM running order
The event will begin with introductory messages and a recap of the 2022/23 financial results, as well as the resolutions on the agenda today.
There will then be video presentations before a question and answer session from the floor and finally some closing remarks from the board.

What will be discussed at the Celtic AGM?
Notice of the 11 resolutions due to be voted on has already been provided by the club. Most of them are pretty routine re-appointments of the directors which are likely to pass with a large majority.
Celtic fan shareholding group The Celtic Trust have confirmed they will not be proposing any resolutions of their own at the event but have also said they will be raising issues around the club’s European ambition, relationship with fans, the safety of fans at away grounds and the club’s position on UEFA regulations.
Several other topics will come up via the Q+A session. Sometimes there are weird and wonderful comments from those in attendance but hopefully, we do get some substantial answers on topics the wider support is interested in. These could include the upcoming January transfer window and the ticketing situation surrounding the Glasgow derby.
A full set of relevant documentation relating to the meeting can be found on the official Celtic website.
We will have coverage on anything important that comes up throughout the day on 67 Hail Hail.
