Excitement building amongst Celtic players ahead of Postecoglou arrival
There is excitement building amongst the Celtic players as they get set to be put through their paces by Ange Postecoglou.
Christopher Jullien is back at Lennoxtown after his rehabilitation period in France. He can’t wait to meet the new boss.
The chatter amongst players about his appointment is positive. Everyone Jullien has spoken to about his arrival has said he’s a great manager.
The Frenchman told the official club website: “I can’t wait!
“I’m looking forward to, first of all, meeting the manager and seeing how he is. He’ll be excited for the new challenge and we are too.
“I’ve heard from a lot of guys who have worked with him and they all say the same thing, that he’s a great manager who has good tactics and has his teams play good football. That’s really exciting for us, and now I can’t wait for the first training session with him.
“The experience he has of winning and building a team with quality is exciting and I can’t wait to be part of it. When I was playing in France, we changed coaches and when there’s a new coach it changes every aspect of the team. It brings energy and helps players find their best form.”
Jullien excitement for new Postecoglou era is genuine
That ties in with what Tom Rogic told James Forrest about his former manager’s arrival.
For all the concern of Celtic supporters, the players seem to be right up for the new era beginning.
Obviously, they are not going to come out and slate the new manager on official club outlets, or the media at large, but Jullien’s energy and excitement does seem genuine.
That might be naive on my part, but it’s been a long 12 months, so we can let a bit of optimism help us through this uncertain coming period.
Friends: joy isn’t a weakness.
As we embark on a massive week for Scottish football, let us hope for the best.
Postecoglou arrives at Lennoxtown on Thursday and we all need to give him a chance.
