Celtic have released another new Adidas strip.

The club teased the announcement on social media last night as the current deal in the successful partnership with Adidas continues until the end of this season.

Rumours had circulated with Celtic fans online back in October that the club had extended its deal with Adidas, but nothing materialised, and supporters were left none-the wiser.

Celtic fans have, by and large, been delighted with the link-up with the huge German sportswear giants and now, that Adidas have designed and launched another strip, the fans have sent the club a clear message.

Celtic announce new ‘Irish origins’ strip

In a statement on X, Celtic announced the release of the new Adidas strip.

The club said, “Celebrating the club’s Irish roots and modern day connection… adidas Originals x #CelticFC #IrishOrigins on sale now.”

In a statement on Celtic’s official website, the club describes the strip as a ‘bold clover design’ with ‘a custom lenticular badge, which alternates between a three- and four-leaf clover as you move’ with the joggers having ‘a soft grey and emblazoned with a green clover design and Celtic crest, as well as the trefoil logo’.

Released to coincide with St Patrick’s Day, the fans have made their feelings perfectly clear on one thing.

Celtic fans share their feelings on the price of the new strip

One fan left his message pretty simple and clear:

Another fan said, “So this is what Elite status gives you eh? A £90 T-shirt spun out to be an Irish connection.” as another replied, “Love it but not enough to pay £90 for it.”

The cost has clearly upset the fans as another replied:

Another Celtic supporter said, “90 quid for that T-shirt is absolutely ridiculous.” with the T-shirt price getting the most flack, “90 quid is criminal though.”

Whilst many Celtic fans like the design, it seems that the price in time where the cost of living crisis is hitting hard is not going down too well with a large portion of the Parkhead support.
