Celtic have had a number of Academy talents leave the club to join some of the biggest clubs in England.

More recently, Ben Doak left Celtic to join Liverpool as the young attacker looked to learn from the best players in the English Premier League.

Since then, Rocco Vata left for Watford and Daniel Kelly joined Millwall as the former Celtic Academy talents looked to get their careers on the move in the English lower leagues.

However, one ex-Celtic youngster who swapped the Bhoys for Man City back in 2020 has now moved onto the fourth club of his career after leaving Ryan Reynolds’ Wrexham this summer.

Ex-Celtic kid Josh Adam leaves Wrexham for SK Dynamo České Budějovice

Josh Adam left Celtic for Man City in 2020 as the highly-rated teenager joined Pep Guardiola’s Premier League champions.

However, after four years at the club, Adam left to join Wrexham last summer where he made just two appearances for the EFL club.

And now, at just 21, the former Celtic talent has found the fourth club of his career after deciding to move to Czech second-tier side SK Dynamo České Budějovice.

Announcing his arrival at the club, Adam said, “I am happy and excited to be able to join this project. I hope that we will start to see results and I will contribute to that on the pitch.

“I want to play as many matches as possible in the Dynamo jersey.”

The strange introduction to SK Dynamo České Budějovice’s sporting director for ex-Celtic kid

‘SK Dynamo České Budějovice’s sporting director Michael Michee appeared happy with his new signing but made a strange comment on Adam.

Michee told SK Dynamo’s official website, “Josh is a player with above-average individual technique.

“We are happy that we managed to acquire someone like him. He spent four years at Manchester City, where he gained a lot of experience.

“His playing qualities should allow us to gain control on the pitch and be more dangerous in attack.”

‘Above-average’ is strange way for a sporting director to welcome a new signing but let’s hope the former Celtic youngster can get his career back on track at the second-tier club.
