Former Celtic striker Moussa Dembele had an incredible end to the season with Lyon, scoring nine goals in the final seven games.
It was a disappointing campaign as a whole for the Ligue 1 side, finishing in eighth place, meaning they will be without European football.
However, from a personal standpoint, Dembele ended the campaign on fire, taking his tally to 21 goals in 30 matches, with 17 of those coming in 2022.
That put him amongst some of the very best strikers in Europe, as Lyon celebrated the ex-Celtic man finishing top of the pile for goals scored with his club in the top five leagues in Europe this calendar year so far.
Despite a slow start to the season due to injury, the Frenchman pipped the likes of Robert Lewandowski and Heung-min Son in the league goalscoring charts for the first half of 2022.
Of course, Celtic fans will be well aware of Dembele’s goalscoring exploits, having enjoyed a successful few seasons at the Bhoys.
Moussa Dembele well primed to win another big summer move
During his time in Glasgow, the 25-year old scored 51 goals in 94 games under Brendan Rodgers after joining the club for around £500,000 compensation in the summer of 2016.
He also played his part in one of the club’s most successful periods in modern history, winning a double treble which included an entire domestic season unbeaten.
With Dembele coming into the final year of his contract this summer and no European football to look forward to with Lyon next season, now might be the perfect time to move on for the striker.

That could also bag Celtic an extra fee on top of the £19.8m Dembele was sold for, with the Hoops having a reported 10%-15% sell-on fee.
Having had spells in both France and Spain with Atletico Madrid, Dembele may even want to challenge himself in the English Premier League next season.
You would imagine with the form the French frontman has been on in the last few months, several English sides will be eyeing up a move this summer.
