Celtic booked their passage into the quarter-final of the Scottish Cup last Sunday following a 2-0 victory over St Mirren in Paisley.

Kyogo Furuhashi and Daizen Maeda scored early in either half to make sure their side progressed to the next phase on a day where the Bhoys showed resilience to combat pressure from the Buddies.

Joe Hart enjoyed yet another fruitful 90 minutes between the sticks, helping to shephard Celtic’s makeshift backline of Anthony Ralston, Stephen Welsh, Liam Scales and Alexandro Bernabei to a routine win.

The draw for the last eight of the Scottish Cup was made on Sunday afternoon, pitting Brendan Rodgers’ men up against David Martindale’s Livingston on the weekend of March 9th.

It is unclear where fan not be able to attend the clash in person will be able to catch all the action live on television.

However, another Viaplay broadcast will be likely due to the media outlet having first pick on all available matches.

Josip Juranovic sounds appreciation for Celtic stopper Joe Hart

Croatian full-back Josip Juranovic will be a fondly remembered name for many Celtic fans despite only spending 18 months in Glasgow before moving to Union Berlin for a fee that could rise to £10 million.

Now plying his trade in the Bundesliga, the 28-year-old seemingly hasn’t forgot about his old side and took to Instagram following the Bhoys triumph in Paisley to sound his appreciation for ex-teammate Hart.

Responding to an official club post from Celtic on the social media outlet picturing Hart in action against St Mirren, Juranovic replied with a comment that simply read ‘My goalkeeper!!! @joehartofficial’ followed by a heart emoji and a flame emoji.

It is nice to see that Juranovic is still keeping tabs on matters surrounding the Hoops even though he enjoyed a relatively short stint in Scotland before his eventual departure.

Both players mentioned enjoyed great success together under the stewardship of Ange Postecoglou and will rightly be deemed as two major parts of his heralded side in years to come.
