It’s been quite the week for Celtic on all fronts.
Transfer rumours surrounding the youth academy, building roots in Japan, players impressing on international duty and Fran Alonso receiving a ‘headbutt’ from Rangers Women Assistant Manager Craig McPherson! There’s always something in the news regarding our club.
But for Fran Alonso, the disappointing thing about his sides battling draw against Rangers on Monday night is that the gloss was taken off the shine of a very good point that was earned by the Celtic Women.

However, it does seem that the Celtic Women manager has put the sorry episode behind him despite the ongoing SFA investigation.
Taking to Facebook, Alonso posted a class message to the fans with a picture collage of his Celtic side, “OUR FANS
, our community, the bhoys, the ghirls, our academy… together! We never give up WE NEVER STOP
This is GLASGOW CELTIC
“
There is no doubt Fran is a very popular figure amongst the fans and the squad. His passion for football is as infectious as his personality and it has to be said, how he reacted to that situation was top class.
The consummate professional, Alonso just turned away and continued to congratulate his team as well as offer his commiserations to the Rangers side who looked devastated at losing the 99th minute equaliser.
That’s how you are supposed to represent your club.
That’s why the Celtic fans and all at the club hold Fran dear to their hearts.
