Frank Lampard is looking forward to going up against Ange Postecoglou’s Celtic with Everton, telling reporters that he is an admirer of the Australian’s work as a manager.
Lampard is under a bit of pressure at the Toffees right now after a run of dire form in the English Premier League that has left them just above the relegation zone.
The Australia trip is a chance for them to reset and the former England international is relishing the chance to go up against Ange and the Bhoys.

As quoted by The Scottish Sun, he said: “He’s known as a top-class coach for the work he’s done before Celtic with the national team and other places and I think Celtic are a huge club with big responsibility so credit to him for the job that he’s doing there.
“It’s great for Australians to have a coach to travel at that level and have success so I look forward to meeting him. I look forward to going against him… yeah it will be nice to see him.”
The two have since met up for photo opportunities in front of the Sydney Harbour bridge and will now face off in the dugouts of the incredible Accor Stadium, which was built for the Olympics in 2000.
The Everton camp have been talking up the importance of the trip and matches with defender James Tarkowski telling his club’s official website: “These games are really important for us. After a tough week last week, it’s important that we get out here and perform well.
“Every player here has got a different reason to go out and perform. Some lads have been playing week in and week out but maybe not to the best of their ability, some lads are desperate for the opportunity to get into the team and start. Also, the young lads as well, they want to go out there and show the manager what they’re all about.”
