Wilfried Nancy takes charge of his first European game as Celtic manager on Thursday night.
After a debut to forget for Nancy, he will be hoping to get his Celtic ball rolling when hot favourites AS Roma come to Glasgow for a Europa League showdown.
Celtic supporters want their team to win every day of the week, but you just sense there is even more of a desperation for Nancy to do well because of the nonsense that has been spouted about him.
Thankfully, some do see sense, and Gabby Agbonlahor was on hand to defend Celtic’s new coach when he was getting more verbal pelters from Alan Brazil.

Have the Scottish media been fair with Wilfried Nancy in his first week?

Gabby Agbonlahor defends Wilfried Nancy and backs Celtic to win the Premiership title
There is no problem with having the debate as to whether Martin O’Neill should have stayed on, but this rubbish around Nancy using a tactics board is ridiculous.
Speaking on talkSPORT, Agbonlahor told Brazil, ‘don’t say anything negative’ about Nancy and to give the Frenchman ‘a chance.’
The former Aston Villa striker rightfully brought up Brazil’s past mistakes, including his previous jibes at Ange Postecoglou.
Every Celtic fan will remember the treatment Postecoglou got from the media, and how all of that ended with the champions of Scotland.
Now it’s Nancy’s turn to take those verbal hits, who has just been in the building for a week.
Even though Celtic are three points behind leaders Hearts, with a game in hand, Agbonlahor still feels it will be the Hoops lifting the title in May.
Brazil: “Celtic take on Roma tonight. Wilfried Nancy is taking charge of his first European game as Celtic boss. Leave the Chinese Checkers board at home, please, Wilfried.
“Gabby, are you a fan of Nancy’s tactics board?”
Agbonlahor: “I don’t mind it, Al. You know, give him a chance. Don’t say anything negative.”
Brazil: “Oh no, I am giving him a chance.”
Agbonlahor: “Like you did with Ange Postecoglou. Don’t do it. Give him a chance.”
Brazil: “Celtic played alright for 15 minutes against Hearts. Should have been one up. Definitely two up.”
Agbonlahor: “They will still win it. They will still win it, Celtic.”
Brazil: “Tonight’s a big test. Then, if this doesn’t go well, then we have St Mirren. What I don’t get is why didn’t Martin stay until the end? And why did he change formation in a game like that against top of the table?
“Look, he knows what he is doing. He has managed, and I haven’t.”
