The atmosphere at Celtic Park whenever Rangers come visiting really is electric as the two teams tussle in a Glasgow Derby.
Celtic have had the upper hand overall in recent years with Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers losing just twice to Rangers in his entire Parkhead career.
Fans have witnessed some big Celtic Park wins over Rangers over the last couple of seasons with a 4-0 and two 3-0 wins being recorded during Rodgers’ and Ange Postecoglou’s time as the Parkhead gaffer.
And when asked by Gary Lineker if he’s ever been to a Glasgow Derby before, Micah Richards struggled to explain just how ‘ferocious’ the Celtic Park atmosphere was.

Lineker said on The Rest is Football, “Have you ever been to one Micah?”
Richards: “Yeah I’ve been to one at Celtic Park. It was ferocious.”
Lineker: “It really is. It’s aggressive. It’s something else.”
Richards: “Oh my God! You think the derbies down here are ferocious? Up there it’s different. isn’t it?”
Lineker: “It’s a different level.”

So far, Micah Richards has admitted attending a Celtic Park Glasgow Derby once and that was back in April 2022.
The closest Celtic Park derby game against Rangers was the 3-0 game in February that Ange Postecoglou’s team won to go top of the league that night.
The atmosphere that night was something not experienced in a Glasgow Derby in a long time as Celtic destroyed Rangers and then eventually went on to win the league.
It’s little wonder Richards was left blown away if this was the game he attended because it the atmosphere created by the Celtic supporters that night really was something special.
