Cameron Carter-Vickers and Liel Abada look to be in contention to feature against Motherwell at Celtic Park on Saturday after taking part in training on Friday. Injury concerns have surrounded both recently but they were snapped by photo agency SNS this morning.
Carter-Vickers missed out on the weekend win over Kilmarnock, which Ange Postecoglou attributed to the Rugby Park pitch as much as anything.
Reports later emerged that the American international is playing through a niggling issue at the moment and could need surgery. However, it seems that is on the back burner ahead of vital matches, as alluded to by American journalist Larry Henry Jr yesterday.

Ange has more Celtic options for Motherwell
Abada has been out with a muscle injury since the last international break, when he dropped out of an Israel training session with a thigh issue. He was also photographed taking part in today’s training session but is unlikely to be thrown into a starting position after a few weeks out.
There continues to be no sign of Portuguese winger Jota, who also missed the Sunday Rugby Park trip. Reo Hatate is also not in any of the photographs published by agency SNS.
Everyone is keeping their fingers crossed both will be fit for the upcoming Scottish Cup semi-final against Rangers at Hampden. Both have been prime performers in the derby and their return would be a significant boost to Postecoglou’s options.
We, of course, await official confirmation from Ange Postecoglou’s press conference which will be published later this afternoon.
At the very least though we can expect Carter-Vickers to stake a claim for a starting position and Abada to be on the bench in support of Daizen Maeda and Sead Haksabanovic.
