The Celtic players have had little room to hide this season.
The criticism of the Celtic players, those in the dugout and in the boardroom, has been as harsh and fierce as it has ever been.
Ahead of Celtic’s Scottish Cup semi-final against St Mirren on Sunday at Hampden, Hugh Keevins didn’t hold back in his verbal putdown of Tomas Cvancara and Kelechi Iheanacho.
Speaking on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard, Keevins branded Cvancara ‘useless’ and claimed Iheanacho needs ‘medical assistance’ just to get through a match, prompting presenter Gordon Duncan to label his opinions completely ‘unreasonable’.
Keevins: “So, he (Cvancara) is useless.”
Duncan: “Oh, jeez.”
Keevins: “Kelechi Iheanacho, if you can get him to stand up without the aid of medical assistance for 90 minutes, that would be great.”
Duncan: “Nah, you have got to that unfair, unreasonable part of the show quicker than normal.”
Would Adam Idah have hit 20 goals this season had he stayed at Celtic?

Hugh Keevins brands Tomas Cvancara ‘useless’ and questions Kelechi Iheanacho’s fitness
Martin O’Neill is relying on Cvancara and Iheanacho’s goals to try to fire Celtic to a possible domestic double this season.
While a Scottish Cup sounds realistic, winning the Premiership title isn’t, and that’s where the Hoops have fallen off a cliff.
Whether or not Keevins is harsh with his words. He isn’t wrong.
Cvancara is heading down a road where he won’t be a Celtic player next season, given that many wouldn’t want his loan spell from Borussia Monchengladbach to be made permanent.
And 67 Hail Hail have had their own moan about Iheanacho still not being fit this season.
Keevins: “When you go back to the front three, non-existent front three. Cvancara will never, in this lifetime or the next, be a Celtic player.”
Duncan: “Tell us what you really think.”
Keevins: “So, he is useless.”
Keevins: “He either starts and has to go off, or he doesn’t start, then comes on when all else fails.”

Cvancara and Iheanacho’s numbers this season
Football can be a fickle world. If Celtic win the double, or at least, the Premiership title this season, then the views on the likes of Cvancara and Iheanacho will change, especially if they score the goals.
It’s never too late to make yourself a hero in football, and the two forwards have a real chance to do so.
But as of this moment, their signings have been a failure, and it’s resulting in Celtic’s Premiership crown slipping away from them.
- Cvancara and Iheanacho’s games combined: 30
- Starts: 17
- Off the bench: 13
- Unused: 4
- Goals: 6
- Assists: 3
