Gordon Strachan reportedly has a theory about when he thinks the new Celtic manager will be appointed.
The surprise resignation of Brendan Rodgers at the beginning of the week means that the Hoops are looking for a long-term successor.
Martin O’Neill and Shaun Maloney are in charge on an interim basis, but that hasn’t stopped several names being linked.
Craig Bellamy, Kieran McKenna, Robbie Keane and others have all been tipped for the Celtic Park gig but, apparently, Strachan has more information.
Gordon Strachan says Celtic are waiting to appoint new manager
Strachan knows the Celtic hierarchy well from his time as the manager at Parkhead, so has an idea of what is going on.
During a live event at the Blackfriars pub in Merchant Square, Glasgow on Tuesday night, Strachan was asked about the search for the new manager.
Tam Cowen was also in attendance and revealed that the ex-Scotland boss thinks that Celtic are waiting until December to get the man they want.

Lifting the lid on the Off the Ball podcast, Cowen said: “Gordon is clearly in the know; he’s one of the most outspoken people in football that I know, particularly at a ‘private event’.
“But he won’t mind me sharing this because he did with the audience… according to Gordon Strachan, the guy Celtic are after, they won’t be able to get him until December.”
If that is to be the case, the three standouts for this have to be Bellamy, Wilfried Nancy and Kjetil Knutsen.
Nancy refused to comment on links to Celtic while the MLS season is ongoing, 67 Hail Hail understands that Bellamy hasn’t applied for the job and Knutsen may be a perfect choice, but his contract at Bodo/Glimt doesn’t expire until December.
Plenty of options are out there, but will Celtic be able to wait that long?
