Greg Taylor says that there’s no argument that Celtic deserved their Scottish Premiership title.
That’s despite Hearts basically being anointed as champions by some, before Martin O’Neill’s men turned it around at the very end.
It’s now been a year since Taylor left Celtic to join PAOK. It certainly hasn’t been quiet whilst he’s been away; rather the opposite.
Watching on from afar, the left-back was rooting for his ex-teammates as they delivered an unlikely league and cup double in a truly unique season.

Greg Taylor: Big players were vital for Celtic
Taylor said on Clyde Superscoreboard: “For long parts of the season, it probably was not what the fans have been used to, or what the players have been used to.
“But [for] any team to win seven games in a row to win a league, I don’t think you can argue who deserves it in that situation.

“The mentality within the group… guys like Callum and James and Kieran, now, carried the boys over the line in the end.”
“I wasn’t shocked.
“I think I’d be lying if I said [that] throughout the season I thought it was a foregone conclusion that Celtic would win the league.
“There were definitely points near the end, where Hearts were on a strong run, that you maybe thought it wasn’t going to be the season we’d hoped for.
“But in the end, as I said: to put that run together, the big players — we spoke about that for Scotland — they were going to be vital.
“And the big players for Celtic, getting Alistair Johnston back fit, Daizen hitting form at the right time… I think these were key moments in a very key part of the season.”
It was a nightmare end to the season for Hearts, and in the weeks since, things have only gone from bad to worse.
Should Celtic fans be delighted Rangers are turning to Derek McInnes?
Or are we underestimating him?
A tough few weeks for Hearts
Having led the race for 250 days, it’s fair to say that the defeat hit the Jambos hard. After a pitch invasion, they left the stadium still in their jerseys, without fulfilling their media duties.
Hearts then slated the referee’s decision to end the game amid the invasion only for this to backfire when VAR audio revealed that Derek McInnes had communicated a willingness to stop the game.
Tony Bloom has also claimed that Hearts players were assaulted by Celtic fans, but these accusations remain unproven.
To make matters even worse, their captain and manager have now both left for Rangers.
