Celtic defender Greg Taylor has praised the “unbelievable” impact Ange Postecoglou has made in Glasgow.
The 25-year-old was speaking to the press ahead of the Hoops’ Scottish Cup meeting with St Mirren.
Taylor has flourished under Postecoglou’s tutelage at Celtic, becoming one of the Bhoys’ standout players.

Despite kicking on massively over the past year, Taylor admits he still has plenty to improve on. And he feels that Postecoglou is an outstanding manager for him and the rest of the squad to learn from.
For context, the Australian is currently being linked with English strugglers Leeds United. Taylor batted off questions regarding Postecoglou’s future, but acknowledged that success breeds speculation.
“To be honest I don’t take much notice of it,” Taylor said [Celtic FC]. “As players we just focus purely on improving, training, our job within the building.
“We’re at a massive club as it is so of course links only come when the team’s performing well and staff are performing well. But nah, we only focus on ourselves in the building.”
Taylor added: “The manager has been unbelievable for myself and many others. The way we play is really enjoyable and I’m eager to learn under him because there are still a lot of things I can improve on.
“A lot of us can improve, and we want to gain that knowledge from the manager.”

Best is yet to come
Taylor has been at Celtic for three-and-a-half years now, signing from Kilmarnock in a £1.5m deal [Daily Record]. After some criticism in his earlier days at Parkhead, Taylor is now rightly getting acclaim for his displays and attitude.
He is arguably one of the most important players in the squad, with inverted full-backs crucial to Ange’s tactics. Put simply, Taylor is crucial to Celtic, who in turn are a much better team with him in it.
And the fact he feels he can get even better is great to hear for the Paradise faithful (and bad news for the other 11 teams).
Fingers crossed both Taylor and Ange stay put at Celtic for a long time, despite the noises from south of the border, and continue to win silverware.
