Young Lennon Miller is certainly grabbing the headlines ever since his outstanding performance against Celtic on Sunday.
The Motherwell midfielder was a key part of Stuart Kettlewell’s side’s first-half performance that led to Celtic heading into the half-time break 1-0 down.
Miller’s brilliant little shimmy and dummy opened up the space for Blair Spittal to fire home the opener and the 17-year-old has been receiving all the plaudits ever since.
And here, the youngster shares what Celtic manager, Brendan Rodgers, said to him at full-time after Motherwell ended up losing the game 3-1.
When asked what Rodgers said to him after the game, Miller said [Daily Record], “He just said ‘well done’ and ‘good luck for the season’.
“It’s nice to get recognition from the people who have had such a good career in the game. I don’t really look at social media, it doesn’t really affect me.
“I just need to show what the manager what I can do each day in training and on a Saturday.”
Lennon Miller for Celtic?
Well, this has been the topic of conversation over the last 72 hours, hasn’t it? The young midfielder has been in excellent form for Motherwell this season and his performance against Celtic thrust him even further into the limelight.

Charlie Mulgrew believes that Celtic should sign him now as he is good enough to get into the Hoops’ first team.
I even suggested yesterday that he could offer a solution to our central midfield issue after it was revealed that Miller could be available for just £2m this summer.
Rodgers has struggled all season to find a solution to the Reo Hatate position for Celtic and whilst I am not suggesting he is first-team ready now, he could be an excellent investment for the future.
