Cammy Devlin has spoken about his interactions with rival fans in Scotland.
Devlin has established a reputation as something of a…. combative midfielder since moving to Hearts from Australia in 2021.
Celtic are locked in a title race with the Tynecastle side, for whom the Aussie is a key player. In a unique three-way chase, Rangers are also in the mix.
As a result, Devlin has been hearing more from rival fans than usual, as a dramatic season takes shape.

Cammy Devlin: what Celtic fans are telling Hearts midfielder
Speaking on the ROW Z FC Podcast, Devlin said: “I think the people, probably outwith most Hibs supporters, are probably jumping on board, in terms of seeing something different.
“You see Celtic and Rangers fans in the street, and they tell you they hope you bottle it.

“But then in the same breath — all the time, they say that when you’re in the shops or whatever — in the same breath, if they’re a Rangers fan, they say ‘if it’s not Rangers, I hope it’s you guys’.
“They’re just desperate for their rival not to go and do it.
“I’m just an Aussie that’s come over here, and really come to realise how big a club Hearts is, and how loved football is over here. It depends what club they support, is what they say to me.
“I would say you get a couple of harsh words if they’re Hibs fans, for sure. Not all the time, but you get a few, especially if you’re out on a drink or whatever, and someone has a bit of liquid courage.
“My girlfriend, I met over here, seven or eight months into being here. So she’s Scottish, and her dad’s a massive Rangers fan.
“She’s got no idea about football, not a clue. So she doesn’t really know what’s going on. But she told her dad, and her dad was up, the same thing: ‘What? He’s a dirty b—–d!’, or something.”
Celtic are yet to beat Hearts this season, but they won’t face them again until the final day of the Scottish Premiership at Parkhead.

Celtic and Hearts’ remaining fixtures
It’s a massive matchweek approaching for Scotland’s two biggest cities, with two Edinburgh vs Glasgow clashes having major ramifications for the title race.
Martin O’Neill’s men face Hibs at Easter Road on Sunday, where many Hibees fans are willing their side to lose. Some Rangers fans also rooting against their own team on Monday, when they could bring Celtic closer to the top of the table.
After that, it’s a Glasgow Derby at home for the Celts, in one of two seismic home fixtures remaining before the end of the season. Hearts will visit Motherwell the evening before.
It’s then Celtic’s turn to play at Fir Park on matchday 37 when Derek McInnes’ side host Falkirk, before the final day showdown.
