SWPL managing director Fiona McIntyre has ruled out a helicopter adding to the drama of Sunday’s title showdown.

It’s going to be an incredible climax to the SWPL campaign with Celtic fighting for the league title alongside Glasgow City and Rangers.

The Hoops are two points behind City at present but their final game is at Ibrox where something has to give.

All three teams have a genuine shot at glory but McIntyre has explained that the league will be taking a more restrained approach to proceedings.

“Not quite a helicopter, more of an SUV Sunday than a Helicopter Sunday,” she explained to Sky Sports.

“We’ll be based here [at Hampden] but we’ll have a team at Ibrox, a team at Celtic Park, ready for any presentation we need to do.

“I’ll be with the trophy all day, based here at Hampden and I’m under no illusions.

“It’s unlikely that we’ll get certainty anytime soon, but we’ll start heading to the venue that’s the likely recipient as soon as we can.

“I can imagine a three-point turn on the motorway at some point may be needed.”

It really is a tantalising final day that has been set up.

Glasgow City are the only side with things fully in their hands. If they win they know they will be champions.

But Rangers know that a win for them would see them in with a major shot of the title.

We simply have to beat Hearts by as many goals as possible and…. eh…. hope that Rangers get a positive result. I didn’t enjoy saying that.

Celtic Park is likely to see another major crowd on Sunday with many expecting the turnout to be even greater than the 9,553 that took in the recent win over Glasgow City. (She Kicks)

We’ll be welcoming the newly crowned champions back to Celtic Park on Saturday. We could be crowning some more on Sunday.
