Joe Hart has been speaking about Ange Postecoglou and Celtic in a fresh interview.

The former England goalkeeper was the special guest on Ben Foster’s ‘Fozcast’ Podcast which was released earlier today.

Hart spoke about various parts of his career and being a goalkeeper. Inevitably, Celtic came up in the conversation.

Former Manchester United keeper Foster chose to bring Postecoglou up, asking what Hart knew about him once he joined the club in August 2021.

“I didn’t know that he was a total football manager,” Hart said.

“I didn’t know that he literally turned up to Celtic on his own, he didn’t bring any staff with him.

“He’s an awesome force. An unbelievable coach. A very strong presence. Really clear, you know exactly where you stand.

“He asks a lot of people but he asks because he believes they can do it.

“He’s got us working as a unit. Everyone’s just a cog in this ship trying to move forward.

“That includes the fans, the history, the staff, the chefs, the people that work for the foundation. It includes all that.

“We represent them and they represent us. And that’s what I want to be a part of.”

Hart’s answer was incredibly passionate. It’s little surprise that Postecoglou chose to sign him after their frank initial conversation on the phone.

The England goalkeeper has been a terrific signing for Celtic. To assess his true value you really have to go back to the disarray we were in before he arrived.

Neither Vasilis Barkas, Scott Bain or Conor Hazard were consistent enough to be our number one. We needed someone with real presence.

Postecoglou has made a number of signings who have made a real difference. Our level of success wouldn’t have been the same without Cameron Carter-Vickers, Kyogo Furuhashi or Jota.

Hart can be added to that list alongside many others. Everyone is just a cog, but they’re all pretty vital too.
