New Celtic signing, Adam Idah, has been speaking about his short time in Glasgow today and has opened up on who has already impressed him at the club.

The on-loan Norwich man has made a very good impression himself with two goals and an assist in his first three games.

And here he shares how Brendan Rodgers has left him blown away with what the Celtic manager has already been doing for him since arriving in January.

Idah said [The Official Celtic FC Podcast], “We spoke briefly before I came and he came up with a plan and what he wanted me to do and how I can progress on my career.

“And for me, like I said, that’s all I wanted was to develop. And the plan he’s given me was, was a no-brainer for me to come here.

“And with the history he has got in terms of getting teams to achieve things, improving players is all I wanted. So he’s been fantastic.”

The 22-year-old striker was Rodgers’ second and last signing of the January window. Whilst there was a relatively muted reception to his arrival, the Republic of Ireland international has not let anybody down.

Coming to Celtic from a struggling Norwich side was always going to be a challenge but it seems that Rodgers’ plan is paying dividends already this season and the Hoops support is seeing that on the park.

Forging a decent partnership with Kyogo Furuhashi, it looks like Idah could be an unlikely central figure in Celtic’s push to defend the title.

However, Idah’s comments underpin just how highly regarded Rodgers is within the squad as his reputation for developing youngsters continues.

With the games coming thick and fast, the Celtic support will be hoping that as well as the excellent linkup play he has developed with Kyogo, Rodgers will inspire and coach Idah to start banging in more goals too.
