Celtic’s penultimate Premiership fixture of the season against Hibernian will be available to watch on PPV.
Ange Postecoglou‘s champions visit Easter Road on May 24th in their final away game of the league season.
It could be a big one for the Edinburgh side who are chasing European football, and still in the fight for third spot.
Hibernian vs Celtic matches are usually entertaining, especially in the capital, so it is a surprise to see the game being overlooked by broadcasters Sky Sports.
Sky can only show four matches from each stadium per season as per the terms of the current TV deal. (The Guardian)
This can often complicate things. But Easter Road has so far only hosted TV visits of Hearts, Rangers and Celtic this season.
With one more space available, it seems a little strange that Sky would opt to show the visit of runners-up Rangers rather than the champions a few days later.
Anyway, Celtic fans will still be able to catch the game via Hibernian’s PPV website.
The news that the game will be “shown live worldwide” was confirmed on the Hibernian Twitter feed earlier.
The game pass will be priced at £12.99. It’s one final PPV game for Celtic fans to fork out for this season.
The majority of our away fixtures have been selected by Sky, but trips to the likes of Ross County and Motherwell were also overlooked earlier in the campaign.
With only five more chances to watch this brilliant Celtic team in action this season, we better enjoy fixtures while we have them.
It’s a long summer without those pesky Champions League qualifiers.
