Hollywood star James McAvoy has shared an Instagram update with his 3.9m followers today enjoying the new Celtic Adidas home top, gifted by the club and defender Christopher Jullien.

McAvoy, who stars in the blockbuster X-Men series as well as recent BBC fantasy drama His Dark Materials, is also eager to visit Celtic Park again and cheer on his beloved team.

He wrote on the social media site: “Big thanks to the big man Chris Jullien and Celtic for the new strip. Can’t wait to get back to paradise to see you in the flesh. In the meantime get stuck in!!!!”

Jullien was loving the interaction, responding to actor’s Instagram post before uploading his own message with the pictures, stating: “I’m a fan of James McAvoy’s performances plus he’s a true Bhoys’ fan, what else?”

The Scottish celebrity is a well-known supporter of Celtic and has even taken part in charity events at the stadium previously, playing legends and other stars to raise cash for good causes.

Back in 2018 he spoke of his joy coming back to witness the Bhoys in action, interviewed by club outlet Celtic TV.

Once fans are again allowed back into the stadium, it appears it won’t be too long until he’s inside Celtic Park watching Neil Lennon’s stars make a push for ten-in-a-row.

Jullien will likely be one of the starters as Celtic take on Kilmarnock at Rugby Park tomorrow, with the team looking to continue where they left off in Sunday’s 5-1 thrashing of Hamilton.

In other news, Chris Sutton has some strong transfer advice for Celtic.
