Celtic fans still have the opportunity to get their hands on some Scottish Cup tickets against Aberdeen.

The SFA allocated a 50/50 split for the Hampden final and Aberdeen have already sold out their allocation for the big day against Celtic.

Brendan Rodgers is looking to win his third domestic treble as the Celtic manager so demand for the tickets is huge from the Hoops support.

Celtic decided to do things a little bit differently and decided to release tickets across two separate stages and those fans who missed out on Scottish Cup tickets the first time round now have a chance to be there on the day.

Celtic open up second phase of Scottish Cup ticket release

The second stage of getting tickets for the showpiece Hampden final is now under way as Celtic drew their ballot last night.

Those fans who are on the Home Cup Ticket scheme and were picked out at random will have been emailed last night to be told they were successful on being allocated a priceless brief.

An email was sent late last night to those lucky Celtic supporters and from 10am this morning, the tickets could be purchased for the final.

The deadline for any purchases has been set to 2pm on Friday the 16th of May.

The last time Celtic met Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup final

Celtic fans will not forget the last time Brendan Rodgers faced Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup final.

Ironically, the Celtic boss was chasing a treble at the time but it was a treble that was unprecedented in the Parkhead club’s history.

Rodgers was unbeaten across all competitions in season 2016/17 and was looking to win an Invincibles Treble when Tom Rogic popped up in the 91st-minute to do this:

Celtic fans will take another similar score line as long as the treble is brought home but I would hazard a guess that many would prefer the win to be more convincing and not so late.
