How much Celtic have reportedly paid for Hyeongyu Oh
Celtic have completed their fourth signing of the January window after Hyeongyu Oh’s move to Glasgow was announced this morning.
The 21-year-old joins Alistair Johnston, Yuki Kobayashi and Tomoki Iwata in becoming the newest Hoops recruits this month.
And the striker has already gotten to work at Lennoxtown, joining in first-team training and working alongside his new teammates.
Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou will likely be delighted to get this deal over the line after his extensive hunt for a new number nine to add to his attacking options.
And if reports are to be believed, it looks to be another shrewd piece of business by the 57-year-old, his recruitment team and the Hoops hierarchy.
At this moment in time, there have been no suggestions that there are further add-ons or a sell-on fee included in the deal for the young striker.
However, with the age that Oh has joined the Hoops, he has plenty of years of development to come. So you certainly wouldn’t rule it out without confirmation.
Either way, it certainly looks like a deal the Bhoys have done their homework on, and Ange Postecoglou has another striker to add to his ranks.
It is fantastic to see that the youngster has gotten straight down to work, and he appears keen to earn his first appearance for the club as soon as possible.
So, the South Korean international is already clearly very committed to the Bhoys and will be aiming to make his mark right from the off.
Signing Oh for only £2.5 million could prove to be another fantastic piece of business conducted by Postecoglou, and the Celtic manager will now be looking to develop his new singing into an even better player.
