Celtic’s record kit deal with Adidas is the biggest in Scottish football history.

Reports indicate that Adidas will pay Celtic over £30m to provide the Parkhead club with merchandise and kit wear in a ten-year deal starting from this month.

The deal raised the eyebrows of fans as Celtic supporters sent Adidas a message as the new deal kicked in today.

So with Celtic having major backers in Adidas and Rangers looking like they will be taken over by a San Francisco 49ers consortium, 67 Hail Hail decided to take a look at how much both companies are worth as the look to get involved in the Scottish game next season.

San Francisco 49ers worth as potential Rangers backers try and catch Celtic

The news has been dominated with the proposed San Francisco 49ers takeover of Rangers over the last few months.

As Celtic fans keep an eye of developments over at Ibrox, the Rangers supporters are getting all giddy at the potential new investment that is apparently coming their way.

So how much are the 49ers worth? According to The Scottish Sun, the York family who are behind the proposed takeover of the Ibrox club are worth a whopping £6bn.

Parage Marathe is the man from the 49ers Enterprises who is supposedly heading the takeover bid.

Adidas’ worth as record-breaking Celtic deal is announced

As previously stated, Celtic’s deal with Adidas is worth over £30m but just how much is the German sportswear giant worth.

In a statement released on Adidas’ website, the kit supplier has enjoyed 1st Quarter revenue of over €6bn for the first three months of the year.

Those figures are up and astonishing €700m on the previous year. Net income is also up €436m.

The global company is reportedly worth over €36bn (£30.6bn).

Now, of course we recognise that having a sponsor worth this amount of cash is completely different to having an owner with the funds available to the 49ers consortium.

But it is worth noting that whilst one club is claiming they will become the richest club in Scotland overnight, Celtic have earned their fortune over years and are now tied in with one of the biggest companies in the world stage and will meet FFP rules when they decide to splash the cash and invest in the first team this summer.
