The international break allows players the opportunity to star for their country.
Celtic have players away on international duty this period with the likes of Alistair Johnston, Anthony Ralston and others ripping it up with their respective nations.
Adam Idah is another who is currently away with the Republic of Ireland and he sat on the bench on Thursday night as his side beat Bulgaria 2-1 in their Nations League playoff first-leg.
It might have been a disappointment for the striker on a personal level not to gain any minutes for his country but one player who did feature was Aberdeen goalkeeper Dimitar Mitov.
The stopper conceded twice before having to go off injured at half-time but in the build-up to the tie, Mitov was full of praise for both Idah and Celtic as a whole.

Dimitar Mitov likes to test himself vs Celtic’s top stars
Having squared-off against the Hoops numerous times throughout his career in the Scottish Premiership, Mitov credits playing the top team in the country as a reason for his own improvement as a player.
“He [Idah] is a very good player. When he plays for Celtic he always causes us a little bit of problems, so we know what to expect of him tomorrow.
“They have a lot of quality players and he is one of them. I am just concentrating on my own game. They have top players and for me, I want to play against top players.
“I want to test myself to be at that top level. For me, it is just like any other game.”
Mitov record vs Celtic is miserable
It certainly was a night to forget for Mitov who was accused of shipping “absurd” goals when Finn Azaz and Matt Doherty found the net.
National coach Ilian Iliev was livid and said: “We conceded two absurd goals that ruined our game. We got into their battle mode, which is not our strength.”

It may have been a rough evening for the Bulgarian but his record for the Dons this season has been fine.
Although his career history against Celtic doesn’t make for great reading.
The goalie has never beaten the Scottish giants at either Aberdeen or St Johnstone.
