The scattergun is out after Celtic’s defeat to Dundee after one player is told he’s not good enough to play for any team in the Scottish Premiership.
Sebastian Tounekti was the only Celtic player to get pass marks at Dundee and, in truth, it is probably because the rest of the team were so bad in the Dens Park defeat.
Celtic’s starting XI gave the vast majority of fans the fear after Daizen Maeda was ruled out injured and Alistair Johnston was deemed not fit enough to start.
But it was Hyunjun Yang who came in for some stinging criticism from pundit Hugh Keevins after he bizarrely chastised a Celtic supporter for getting ‘personal’ over the winger.

Celtic’s Hyunjun Yang told he is ‘not good enough’ for any Scottish Premiership team
As a Celtic fan shared his clear displeasure about Yang’s performance against Dundee saying the winger ‘shouldn’t be washing dishes’ at Parkhead when Keevins chastised him right before delivering this brutal verdict.
Keevins told Superscoreboard, “Well, we don’t need to get personal, but he’s never ever… When I saw the team to start at Dundee, I thought, how can you realistically start a game with Yang when everyone can see that he is nowhere near…
“He’s not good enough to play for any team in the Premiership, far less Celtic.”
Ok, let’s take a step back. For all that Yang is not good enough to play for Celtic as a first-team starter, the South Korean walks into any team in the Scottish Premiership, maybe apart from Rangers.
It’s abundantly clear that Yang can’t deal with the pressure that playing for Celtic brings and he should be moved on. But to suggest he doesn’t get a game for the likes of Aberdeen, Dundee United or even Hearts is just nonsense.
He is a six-time capped South Korean international after all.
Hyunjun Yang’s season for Celtic in the Scottish Premiership so far
Yang has shown glimpses that there is a player in there over his two seasons at Celtic but it’s pretty clear that his future lies elsewhere.
With Keevins’ latest daft claim, 67 Hail Hail decided to take a look at how the South Korean international winger has fared in a Celtic shirt according to Fotmob:
- Appearances: 4
- Starts: 3
- Minutes: 175
- Average rating: 6.61
- Goals: 0
- Assists: 0
- Shots: 3
- Shots on target: 2
- Pass Accuracy: 83%
- Dribble success: 50%
- Duels won: 25%
It’s clear that Yang is struggling at Celtic and when everyone is fit, he will always be a bench player.
Hopefully he’ll get a move either in January or the summer to break into a team away from the Hoops to show what he can do without the burden of the expectation that comes with playing for a team as big as Celtic.
