Amid all the chatter about who is going to be the new Celtic manager, the announcement that Hyeongyu Oh has been called up to the South Korea national squad has gone under the radar.

Hyeongyu Oh’s impressive season for Celtic
Oh has been in excellent form for Celtic considering the limited minutes he receives. This season he has scored seven goals in 21 appearances.
To put that into context, that’s a goal for every 84 minutes the South Korean international is on the pitch. Quite impressive when you put it that way.
Oh has made three appearances for his country, however, he is yet to break his scoring duck for Jurgen Klinsmann’s side. Oh did hit the back of the net with a lovely curling shot when the Koreans faced Uruguay back in March but it was chalked off for offside.

The Celtic striker did finish off the season in style. A double against Aberdeen on Trophy Day helped make the title celebrations that little bit sweeter with a 5-0 win over The Dons.
And a 30-minute cameo in the Scottish Cup Final against Inverness Caley Thistle helped wrap up a historic treble and cap off a trophy-laden season for the 22-year-old forward.
If he continues to develop the way he has been, there is no doubt Oh will be an important part of the Celtic squad next season.
