Celtic’s win over Falkirk delivered what was required on the pitch, but it was what followed that quickly shifted attention toward Hyunjun Yang.

The first-team attacker has been a mainstay in Celtic’s starting XI and after the win at Parkhead, Yang was spotted relaxing in a rather unusual setting.

It seems Martin O’Neill had given his players Sunday off as Hearts and Rangers looked to match Celtic’s result in their respective fixture.

So Yang decided to attended a Gaelic football match as he travelled to Northern Ireland for a short break away from Celtic first-team duties.

Celtic win provides the backdrop to Yang’s unexpected appearance

Celtic beat Falkirk to keep pressure on Hearts and Rangers, but Yang took a step away from that to take in some Gaelic football.

The Celtic winger took time to pose for photos with players and supporters at the ground.

The post picked up quickly, and Yang’s appearance did not go unnoticed.

Celtic starter’s Hannastown visit stands out for one clear reason

Hyunjun Yang attended a Gaelic football match involving Lamhdhearg and Naomh Brid minor teams, with the game ending in a draw on April 26.

You do not usually see a Celtic starter in that setting, which is why it stood out straight away.

This was a great way for the Celtic winger to relax and it’s clear that Yang was a great ambassador for the club during his surprise appearance.

Hoops fans will be hoping that the South Korean will return to Glasgow refreshed and ready for Celtic’s next fixture against Hibs at Easter Road.
