Celtic defender Josip Juranovic isn’t interested at all in the transfer noise around him right now, stating that he is entirely focused on the present and impressing for Croatia at the World Cup.
Juranovic has been the focus of pretty intense speculation regarding his contract status at the Bhoys and the potential of a January transfer exit.
Multiple teams are reported to be keen on his signature with Celtic even signing a potential replacement in Alistair Johnston. However, for Juranovic, this is far from a priority at the moment.

As quoted by The Daily Record, he said: “Honestly, I haven’t read what was written since we arrived. We’re just focused on the national team. I even told my agent not to send me anything, I’m not interested at all right now. I want to do something for myself, my future sons and daughters, I want to tell them the story of what we did and to be proud.
“I may not be a player worth 20-30 million Euros, but you must know one thing. I never gave up, even when I was in Hajduk and Dubrava, nor in Celtic, nor in Croatia. My parents taught me to look forward. Life tells strange stories, I stuck to my point that I needed to prove myself on the field.
“The secret is that we are all a real family and we stick together. We breathe for each other from the first minute to the last and that is the secret of our [Croatia’s] success, simply.”
With Sky Sports recently reporting that Juranovic’s representatives are set to resume contract renewal discussions after his return to Scotland, there is still a long way to run on all this, even if clubs are queuing up as admirers.
For now, we can continue to look forward to him shining at the elite level. He was superb against Brazil, shutting down Vinicious Jr and with a chance to reach the World Cup final, most Celtic fans will be cheering the right-back on against Argentina this week.
Good luck Josip!
